my mom plays the clarinet, played it in the Marine Band

I played it in the sixth grade, still play it

heard some Jimmy Giuffre, beautiful tone, folkblues feel

he went to North Texas State Teacher's college

I went to UNT, the new name of the same school

had a roommate who played lots of clarinet, & very well

wound up in the Coast Guard (I did)

played clarinet in the recruit band, it was a nice haven

was thinking about Jimmy

always dug his drummerless trios

had one of those for awhile myself too

his group once made $0.35 total for a gig

he knew the blues, kept on playing
